Where: LBJ Auditorium
Contact: Sarah McCracken [sarah@lbjfoundation.org...]
On Thursday, September 1, Future Forum members are invited to hear Margaret Hoover speak on her new book, American Individualism: How a New Generation of Conservatives Can Save the Republican Party. The great-granddaughter of Herbert Hoover, Ms. Hoover served in George W. Bush's administration and has aided in two presidential campaigns. She now serves as a contributor to Fox News, frequently appearing on Fox and other television networks to discuss politics.
Targeted at the most perplexing problems of the twenty-first century, American Individualism offers provocative ideas not just for reinvigorating the Republican Party but also for strengthening America in the decades ahead. Ms. Hoover implores Republicans to appeal to a new generation of voters by embracing a conservatism that emphasizes individual freedom both in economic policy and social issues.
The program will be hosted in the LBJ Auditorium beginning at 6:00 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Copies of American Individualism will be sold outside the Auditorium beginning at 5:15 p.m. Ms. Hoover will be available to sign copies of the book purchased in the LBJ Museum Store. To pre-order, please call the Museum Store at (512) 232-2396.
