Please join us for the Second Annual fastforward Issues Forum with Leadership Austin. This will be a full-day, deep dive into the issue of economic recovery, titled Rising from Recession: Central Texas Strong and Sustainable.
Our national economy has endured the economic shocks—and aftershocks—of a world-wide recession. Yet Central Texas has weathered the storm exceedingly well, and is well positioned for the future. How do we leverage our current state to emerge as a leading region in which to live, work and play?
Join policy makers, influencers, grass-roots activators, and your Leadership Austin friends and alumni as we explore the future of our region in the following contexts:
- Emerging Technologies and the Local Economy
- Buying Habits and Their Impact: What’s the Next Big Thing?
- The New Regionalism: Are we the next “Megaregion?”
- Keynote Address: Richard Florida
See the full program agenda and speaker list at the [Leadership Austin website...].
Future Forum members will enjoy a discounted ticket rate of $100.
If you are unable to attend the sessions during the day but would like to attend the keynote address by Richard Florida, please email Sarah McCracken [sarah@lbjfoundation.org...] to request a ticket. Future Forum has a limited number of free tickets for the keynote only. The keynote is scheduled to begin at 4:45 p.m. in the LBJ Auditorium. Copies of Florida’s recent book, The Great Reset, will be available for sale immediately before the lecture in the auditorium lobby.
