The LBJ Library and the Texas Book Festival will feature Taylor Branch's The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President at 1:00 p.m. in the House Chamber at the Capitol Building on Saturday, October 31. A book signing will follow immediately afterwards at the Texas Book Festival's Book Signing Tent at 12th & Colorado.
Revered historian Taylor Branch's The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President rests upon a secret project, initiated by Clinton, to preserve for future historians an unfiltered record of presidential experience. Branch is also the bestselling author of Parting the Waters: America in the King Years, 1954-63, which won the Pulitzer Prize. Paul Stekler, an award-winning documentary filmmaker and professor at The University of Texas, will introduce Branch in the session.
Branch's presentation is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in four nearby parking garages. Please click here to visit the TBF website for parking locations and maps of parking garages and the Capitol Building.
