Join the Film Cluster Monday, June 4, for Chalk at the Alamo South Lamar. The movie starts at 7:45 p.m.; we will meet in the lobby by 7:30 to give us a few minutes to order food and drinks. It is the Alamo, after all. For info on the movie, please visit www.chalkthefilm.com.
The filmmakers are from Austin, and the film was largely shot locally with the assistance of students in the RTF program of an area high school. It hit theaters a couple of weekends ago to a packed house at the Alamo, and it's stay has been extended based on its tremendous showing. Come out Monday night to support our local filmmakers. If you are a teacher, please come. And if you're not, bring any teacher/educator friends you have. This movie presents an interesting viewpoint on public education.
