Please come join us for THE FUTURE FORUM PRESENTS: ELECTION WINDS IN TEXAS - WHICH WAY DO THEY BLOW? The event will be in the Atrium (10th floor) of the LBJ Library at 7pm. Our panel will discuss the upcoming elections and answer your questions.
We will be delving into the issues and candidate choices statewide that are important to voters and any trends nationally that are affecting voter interest in Texas.
A few of the issues they will be asked to discuss include: "What is really going on?" What are the issues that people really care about - as opposed to the ones that get all the press (if you think they are different)? Are the voters really that displeased? What are the issues that will get people to the polls and actually affect how they vote at the end of the day? How do you see the political landscape changing (or not) after this election?
Panelists include: Evan Smith (Editor of Texas Monthly), Jeff Eller (President and CEO of Public Strategies), Wayne Slater (The Dallas Morning News), Democratic Strategist Kelly Fero and Republican Strategist Denis Calabrese.
We will have drinks, appetizers, and good conversation after the panel discussion.
Post Event Wrapup: We hope you enjoyed this event. Our panel of Paul Burka (Texas Monthly), Jeff Eller (President and CEO of Public Strategies), Wayne Slater (The Dallas Morning News), Democratic Strategist Kelly Fero and Republican Strategist Denis Calabrese was informative and entertaining. They offered candid insight into the upcoming elections and the issues that are - or aren't - moving voters to action. Our paneliists stayed afterwards for the reception where they mingled and spoke to Future Forum members. A big Thank You to all of our panelists and all of you who attended the event. See below for a few pictures from the event.
