On October 24th, Future Forum members are invited to An Evening With Charles Robb and Jim Langdon, co-sponsored by the Future Forum, the Friends of the LBJ Library, and the University of Texas International Security Speaker Series. Senator Robb and Mr. Langdon will discuss the findings of, and response to, the report of the Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction that was presented to President George W. Bush in March 2005.

Senator Robb was Co-Chairman of the Commission. Jim Langdon is the chair of the Presidents Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. After the program, the Future Forum will have a special reception in the Atrium, where there will be an opportunity for further Q&A with Senator Robb. Admiral Bobby Inman, former Director of the National Security Agency and Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, will moderate the discussion.

On October 25, 2005, members are invited to attend a panel discussion on U.S. intelligence reform. The panel, The Future of Intelligence Reform in the United States, will provide an opportunity for thoughtful examination and reflection on how the U.S. intelligence community should adapt to the threats and challenges of an increasingly transnational, globalized, and technology-driven world. The panel will include Admiral B.R. Inman and Dr. Robert Gates, in addition to Senator Charles Robb and Jim Langdon. The event will take place from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the University of Texas.
