Please come join the LBJ FUTURE FORUM and the LBJ SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION for an Austin City Council Candidates Forum. City Council elections are May 7th. Come listen to the candidates and find out where they stand on the issues so that you can make an informed decision when you vote. The program will start promptly at 7PM. We would like your thoughts.

If you have a question you would like asked of the candidates, please submit it below in the polling section. Because of the limited number of questions we can ask, we may not be able to ask them all, but we will try to consolidate them as best we can and get to the topics that are the most important to you. Please send us your proposed questions by April 15th. Because this may be a long program, we will have cookies and sodas/water ahead of time (from 6:30 to 7).

But, you might want to grab a bite to eat before coming to the program so your hungry stomachs don't make too much noise! Prior to the Candidates Forum, the University of Texas Volunteer and Service Learning Center will be holding its Volunteer Recognition Ceremony in the Atrium - from 5:30 to 6:30. If you would like to come early and attend the ceremony as the Center honors outstanding service to the community, please rsvp at http://deanofstudents.utexas.edu/vlsc/volrecogrsvp.php Finally, NOTE for Future Forum members. The Future Forum Book Club was supposed to meet on April 20th, but has very generously agreed to reschedule. If you want to join the Book Club in discussing "God's Politics" the new meeting date and time will be on April 27th at 7PM at Scholz Beer Garten.
