On April 22nd and 23rd, the Future Forum is co-sponsoring the upcoming conference entitled Big Choices: The Future of Health Insurance for Older Americans. The symposium is the second of a five-year series of Big Choices conferences (www.bigchoices.org) hosted by the LBJ Library and the Center for Health and Social Policy (CHASP) at the LBJ School of Public Affairs (http://www.utexas.edu/lbj/research/chasp/index.html).

Future Forum members will have an opportunity to listen to scholarly discussion on the future of Medicare and engage in intergenerational round table discussions with policy experts, health providers and citizens. The Public Policy Group will report the salient points of the Medicare proceedings to the public via op-ed pieces in Texas major newspapers. In conjunction with the conference, the Public Policy Group is organizing an evening of Q&A with the conference panelists. On the evening of April 22nd, Future Forum members will have an opportunity to discuss the afternoons proceedings as well as engage in discussion about Medicare and it's impact on the future of young Texans.
